2 PostDoc Positions on Giant Molecules and coherent multi-photon spectroscopy, Lab. PIIM, Aix-Marseille University, France

by Sebastien_Tanzilli - published on

Our team at Aix-Marseille University offers two postdoctoral positions starting in early 2015.

- Giant Molecules : We offer a postdoc/engineering position for 12 months (extensible to 18 m) to develop a prototype of a device detecting very large molecules. The experiment is at the interface of physics and chemistry, it employs optical detection techniques (laser spectroscopy), and also guiding and storing of charged particles (ion trap).

- 3 photons : We are supported by the local excellence cluster, and in the frame of a new project, we offer a postdoc position for 18 months in coherent multi-photon spectroscopy. Among the major tasks of the candidate will be the phase/frequency lock of the lasers and the frequency comb.

You’ll find more detailed informations in the attached pdf files. For both positions we are seeking a motivated experimentalist (m/f) with a good background in atomic and laser physics. We also expect you to be a team player!

- Starting date, applications, and contact:
Our aim is to fill both positions as soon as possible in February 2015. For details, please contact the head of the group Martina Knoop - email
