Dear all,
The third colloquium of the GDR-IQFA took place from the 28th to the 30th of November 2012 at the Institut Néel in Grenoble. We would like to thank all the numerous participants that made this event a success.
- The workshop gathered around 110 participants, half of them being PhD students or Post-docs, 20% coming from abroad. This demonstrates the excellent dynamics initiated by the GDR - IQFA.
- During these three days, we could listen to the recent advances in quantum information, put in context of the thematics identified by the GDR (ARTs). We would like to warmly thank our invited speakers for their contribution to the scientific excellence of this workshop.
- The PDF versions of the presentations are now available for upload by following the link Grenoble Workshop presentations.
- We could also see during the poster sessions, the lunches, as well as the conference dinner, that many discussions took place. This is very positive since promoting scientific discussions and potential partnership is one of the prime missions of the GDR
Finally, we are very pleased to announce two events:
- The GDR - IQFA supports a Pre-Doctoral School of Physics on "Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics", that will be held in Les Houches from August 5 to August 30 2013. For those who are interested please follow this link (Les Houches Quantum Optics & Nanophotonics).
- The next colloquium of the GDR will take place at the University Paris VII - Diderot, likely at the end of November 2013. Confirmed invited speakers are; Alain Aspect, Nicolas Gisin, Philippe Grangier, Jean-Michel Raimond, and Peter Zoller.
