Quantum Information at the LPT

by Sebastien_Tanzilli - published on , updated on

At the LPT, the groups “Quantum Coherence” and “Strongly Correlated Fermions” are interested in quantum information. The “Quantum Coherence” group has its roots in quantum chaos and mesoscopic solid state physics, two areas in which it is still active. Other research activities include quantum algorithms, decoherence, Bose-Einstein condensates, quantum optics, and more formal work aimed at understanding the crucial resources in quantum information. The group “Strongly Correlated Fermions” is partly involved in the characterization and the measure of entanglement in many-body condensed matter systems and in the implementation of improved simulation algorithms benefiting from insights of quantum information theory.
