- Aims of this thematic

This research axis covers quantum information protocols and architectures that can be used to transmit information via quantum channels. This includes links implementing quantum cryptographic primitives such as secret key distribution, as well as quantum relays, and extends to network structures that range from trusted repeater quantum cryptography networks to advanced quantum networks consisting of quantum repeater stations. The axis concerns all the components of such structures, the design and security of the communication protocols, and corresponding implementations at telecommunication or visible wavelengths depending on the desired application.
